SENATE BILL 408: Establishing Purchasing Alliances for Affordable Insurance
- Good news! On Thursday, March 18, the New Hampshire Senate Commerce, Labor and Consumer Protection Committee voted 2-0 ‘Ought to Pass’ on SB 408.
- This bill would allow nonprofits and small businesses to form purchasing alliances to bring down costs associated with health insurance.
- Nonprofits provide many of the services to New Hampshire citizens, yet the rising costs associated with health insurance have been a burden that is preventing some organizations from fulfilling their mission.
- On Wednesday, March 24th, the New Hampshire Senate will vote on SB 408.
ACTION:
- Please contact a member of the New Hampshire Senate voice your support for SB 408.
SENATE BILL 464: PERMANENT SPEED LIMIT FOR LAKE WINNIPESAUKEE
- The New Hampshire Senate Transportation and Interstate Cooperation voted 4-1 in favor of SB 464 with an amendment establishing a speed limit of 50 mph during the day and 30 mph at night.
- NH LAKES appreciates the compromise on this issue and supports the amendment even though we have concerns over the relatively high nighttime speed of 30 mph.
