Conservation Program Assistant
40 hours per week, early-May through early-September, 2019 (1 paid position)
NH LAKES seeks a full-time (temporary) Conservation Program Assistant to assist with the implementation of the organization’s conservation programming. This position will provide experience in lake stewardship and program management including volunteer and employee training and management, project tracking, payroll reporting, public speaking, database management, and communication and leadership skills.
- Assists with all aspects of the LakeSmart program, a statewide education and certification program that assists property owners in managing their property in ways that protect lake health
- Assists with all aspects of the Lake Host program, a statewide aquatic invasive species education and prevention program that teaches boaters how to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species
- Assists with the implementation of employee and volunteer trainings as well as our annual conference
- Works with the entire NH LAKES staff on collaborative projects and events

NH LAKES Opportunities with the Lakes Region Conservation Corps
NH LAKES seeking two members for May – October 2019!
In 2019, NH LAKES will host two Lakes Region Conservation Corps members for 22.5 weeks from the end of May to the end of October. Members will be introduced to all facets of operating a statewide nonprofit organization, based in the state’s capital, while helping to expand and deliver statewide lake conservation and outreach programs and activities for youth and adults. These programs include an education and inspection program to help boaters prevent the spread of invasive species, a lake-friendly living education and certification program for property owners, and an interactive hands-on activity circuit for kids (and their parents!) to learn about lake ecology and conservation. Members will also have the opportunity to develop new and innovative lake conservation outreach programs and activities. In addition, members will have the opportunity to obtain training/certification in other conservation programs including the New Hampshire Weed Control Diver program and the Squam Lakes Association trails maintenance program. This position is based at NH LAKES headquarters in Concord, New Hampshire, with the opportunity for significant statewide travel and networking.
