For the third summer in a row, our lakes were devastated by a record number of toxic cyanobacteria blooms.
Over 40 advisories were issued this past summer, fueled by polluted water running off the land and into our lakes. People had to stay out of the water, afraid that the lakes would make them, their children, grandchildren, and pets sick.
