Deborah D. Hoover

Deborah is a social entrepreneur, philanthropy professional, nonprofit attorney, and experienced board member. She has worked with private foundations in Ohio, focusing on the arts, mental health, and education.

A former trustee of Candid, the premier source of global data on philanthropy, Deborah received the 2014 EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Northeast Ohio, Educational Services and Nonprofit). She holds degrees from Williams College, the University of Chicago, Kent State, and George Washington University Law School, and an honorary doctorate from Baldwin Wallace University.

An attorney licensed in Ohio, D.C., and New Hampshire, she is the Founder and CEO of Feldspar Consulting Group, established in 2021 to help clients build capacity, define strategy, and strengthen governance.

Deborah serves as President of the Little Lake Sunapee Protective Association and is a New Hampshire Master Gardener. A Manchester native, she now lives in New London, New Hampshire, and enjoys hiking, kayaking, gardening, and traveling.
